Chapter 7: Introducing Ready To Wear
Our first ready to wear collection houses 5 products in a variety of colour ways. A small collection, to coincide with our small (but mighty!) team. Working closely with our team, we have designed 5 garments that highlight the shapes that we love at Aesthetic Laundry, whilst also highlighting design and detail elements that we have never previously been able to offer.

Lucy Shirt
One of the most versatile pieces you can have in your wardrobe…a loose oversized shirt.
A first for Aesthetic Laundry - shirts!! This product category was top of the list once our new production facility meant the incorporation of buttons and therefore smarter clothing.
Available in three colors, a summery stripe (that you can reach for each summer going forward) alongside a classic white and soft stone, which will be perfect as we head into the autumnal months.
Lorrie Shorts
We could not resist a bermuda chino short, which enabled us to add in design detailing we have never previously been able to do. Zips, buttons, belt loops and a fixed waist are the design highlights to this piece. Available in three colours the high waisted cut is incredibly flattering. Dress up for work with a shirt and pumps, or pair down with a classic tee and trainers.
Joss Trouser
An old customer favourite shape, our Peg trouser, but with an updated beautifully soft fabric and additional design details.
We have kept our classic elasticated waistband, but it now has the addition of a hidden drawstring to make the waist more fitted if required. The front crease stitching adds subtle detailing to the turn up.
And of course...pockets, re-enforced with bar stacks to make the extra strong and big enough for your phone.
Heidi Hoodie
Utilising our new feature of zips, meant we could not resist bringing a new hoodie style to the table. The two way zip means you can wear it closed or semi open, with additional pocket detailing on the front. It is a statement shape, with dropped armholes and ribbed waistband and even a drawstring detail creating a cosy hood.
Emma Tee
A selection of graphic, slogan and logo tees in on oversized t-shirt fit. We have been able to elevate our printing with our production team, finally bringing you the graphic tee which Heidi designed approximately four years ago and we just couldn’t make it happen in the UK! Graphic tees are a great way to add a pop to a staple product, perfect all year round with jeans and trousers alike.
COLLECTIONS CALENDAR
Although the first five garments from our new ready to wear line have come as a surprise, going forward we will be providing you with a Collections Calendar, that tells you the types of collections we will be dropping and when.
Aesthetic Laundry’s goal has always been to create empowering fashion, but with a conscience. With that in mind, we have decided to switch up how we design and when we release products.
Each collection will house only a small number of pieces, which have been designed for particular purpose (e.g workwear, holiday). The garments within each collection, are what we deem the perfect pieces for their purpose, with the limited offering enabling us to focus on design and fit (something which fast fashion sacrifices in order to provide you with all the choice).
Staggering our collections throughout the year also really allows us to work with our production team in a fair and timely manner. We are small, we have hired a small team, set up a micro factory and we want to produce in small quantities. Spreading out the collections, ensures the work is consistent with no bottle necking or unfair pressure on our production team.
Our pre-planned collections not only benefit our working team, but they are designed to provide transparency to you, our customer. It gives you oversight of what to expect, removes that FOMO feeling and allows you to know that you have a one-stop-shop so to speak, for stylish yet timeless pieces all year round.
