Made to Order FAQ

What is Made to Order?

Made to Order means that we create your garment specifically for you after you've placed your order. This helps us reduce waste, avoid overproduction, and make each piece with you in mind. It's slow fashion, but it's worth the wait!

How do ordering windows work?

To manage demand and ensure every garment receives the attention it deserves, we open a new Made to Order window each week. Each window has a limited capacity based on how many garments we can make that week. This means that once we reach our limit, the window will close to avoid disappointment. Ready to Wear items, however, are always available (depending on stock) and ready to ship within 1-3 working days.

Why choose Made to Order?

By choosing Made to Order, you're supporting a more sustainable way of creating fashion. It helps reduce waste, ensures we only make what’s truly wanted, and gives you something made specifically with you in mind. It’s slower, but it’s personal, and that makes all the difference.

How is Made to Order different from Ready to Wear?

Ready to Wear items are already made and ready to ship within 1-3 working days. Made to Order items, on the other hand, are created just for you after you order, which is why they take a little longer. It’s about giving you something unique and reducing waste.

Who makes my garment?

Your garment is made by Heidi and Ausra. We take pride in creating every piece with care and love.

How long will it take to receive my Made to Order item?

After placing your order, we allow 48 hours for changes or cancellations. Once confirmed, we start cutting and making your garment. Typically, your item will be dispatched within 7-10 days after the cutting confirmation. Overall, you can expect delivery within 14 working days of placing your order.

Can I make changes or cancel my order?

Yes! You have 48 hours after placing your order to make any changes or even cancel. We understand that you might change your mind, so we give you this window to make sure everything is perfect before we start the process.

Why can't I get a refund or exchange on Made to Order items?

Because Made to Order garments are customized just for you, we can't offer refunds or exchanges once we start production. We source and cut fabric specifically for your order, which means we can’t reuse the materials if the order is canceled. This helps us be more sustainable and reduce waste.

What happens after I place my order?

Once you place your order, you have a 48-hour window to make changes. After that, you’ll receive a cutting confirmation email by the following Tuesday, and we’ll start crafting your garment. You’ll also get a final dispatch email with tracking details once it’s on its way to you.

What if my preferred fabric or colour is unavailable?

We work with limited fabrics, which means sometimes a specific colour or fabric might not be available. If that happens, you’ll have the option to choose an alternative or wait for the next fabric drop (if available).

What if there's a delay?

Sometimes life happens—whether it’s a fabric delay or if one of our talented makers isn’t available. If we can't complete your order for any reason, we’ll promptly issue you a refund and give you priority in the next ordering window.
